Religious and Cultural Voices Meet in Madrid

A notable gathering in Madrid united religious representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The round table included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers offered reflections from faith, culture and public service on how open dialogue can strengthen coexistence.

Throughout the gathering, participants addressed themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity contributes to democratic life when rooted in eu news today respect for human rights.
